The MEDKit GameLink connection provides a persistent, pubsub connection for data flow between game clients or servers and a massive live streaming audience. By utilizing a scalable server architecture and topic/channel communication, Muxy provides real-time game data to viewers, aggregates arbitrary viewer input, facilitates audience monetization actions and powers other new and innovative viewer engagement interactions.
Game data and messages are broadcast through an event system on top of underlying WebSocket connections. Game clients can subscribe to events to receive updated information on audience participation. They can also publish events to send information to all or a filtered subset of the live-streaming viewers.
If WebSocket are unavailable, the alternate chunked protocol can be used.
